WHAT IS SFSMUNC XIII?
Sidwell Friends School Model United Nations Conference XIII (SFSMUNC XIII) is a one-day international relations simulation for high school students hosted every year by the Sidwell Friends School Model United Nations Club. Since its inception in 2007, SFSMUNC has striven to recreate the spirited diplomacy practiced in the United Nations. In doing so, SFSMUNC gives a future generation of leaders an educational experience to explore their skills and talents through public speaking, writing, and negotiating to resolve the most pressing issues in global affairs for immediate and long term security.
SFSMUNC is a special conference. Not only is it organized preedominantly by our student club members, but also all of the sessions are run exclusively by Sidwell students. In addition, this year, we expect the attendance a record number of delegates. The conference will be held at Sidwell’s upper school campus.
